On Nov. 8, voters in Big Bear Lake, California, and Portland, Maine, soundly defeated two ballot initiatives that would have restricted short-term rentals. Meanwhile, almost all STR and lodging tax measures won voter approval on Election Night. These taxes are concentrated in the states of California and Colorado.
